Home-Based Social Services


1. Home-based social services are one of the main forms of social care aimed at extending as long as possible the stay of elderly citizens and persons with disabilities in their familiar social environment, in order to maintain their social status, as well as to protect their rights and legitimate interests.

2. The following home-based social services are included in the list of state-guaranteed social services:

(as amended by Federal Law No. 122-FZ dated August 22, 2004)

1) provision of food, including delivery of goods to the home;

2) assistance in purchasing medicines, essential food and industrial products;

3) assistance in obtaining medical care, including accompaniment to medical institutions;

4) maintenance of living conditions in accordance with hygienic requirements;

5) assistance in organizing legal aid and other legal services;

6) assistance in organizing funeral services;

7) other home-based social services
