7) surface-active substance - any organic substance and/or preparation possessing surface-active properties and consisting of one or more hydrophilic groups and one or more hydrophobic groups of such a nature and size that allows reducing the surface tension of water, as well as forming spreading or adsorbing monomolecular layers at the interface between water and air, forming emulsions and/or microemulsions and/or micelles, as well as adsorbing at the interface between solid and liquid phases;
