Scabies


Scabies is a contagious parasitic skin disease caused by scabies mites. The female mite measures 0.3-0.4 mm, while the male is half that size. The primary invasive stage is the female. She lives on a human body for approximately 2-3 months and can survive outside the human body for up to 6 days. On a person infected with scabies, mites reproduce and develop continuously
