Air-Cushion Vessel


hovercraft - vessel in which the entire mass or a significant part thereof is supported above water (ground, ice, etc.) during movement or when stationary by forces generated by excess air pressure continuously pumped beneath the hull into a cavity referred to as an air cushion;
