Candidate for the position of a member of the Federation Council
A candidate for the position of a member of the Federation Council may be a citizen of the Russian Federation who has reached the age of thirty, possesses an unblemished reputation, and has been continuously residing on the territory of the corresponding subject of the Russian Federation for five years immediately preceding the candidate's nomination for appointment as a member of the Federation Council, or in total for twenty years preceding the candidate's nomination for appointment as a member of the Federation Council1.
