Public Hearings


Public hearings are a gathering of citizens organized by an institution of public oversight, and in cases provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation, by state authorities, local self-government bodies, state and municipal organizations, other bodies and organizations exercising certain public powers in accordance with federal laws, for discussion of issues relating to the activities of these bodies and organizations and having special public significance or affecting the rights and freedoms of a person and citizen, the rights and legitimate interests of public associations and other non-state non-profit organizations (ceased to be in force as of 2017-12-29)1.
