Legalization of a foreign official document


Legalization of a foreign official document is a procedure involving the verification of the authenticity of a signature, the authority of an official of a foreign state who, in accordance with the legislation of the relevant foreign state, performs functions of verifying the authenticity of a signature and the authority of a foreign official who signed the foreign official document, as well as the authenticity of a seal or stamp used to affix the foreign official document submitted for legalization1.
