Computer Information Fraud


Computer fraud — that is, the theft of another person's property or acquiring the right to another person's property by means of deception, deletion, blocking, modification of computer information or other interference in the operation of storage, processing or transmission of computer information or information and telecommunication networks — is punishable by a fine of up to 120,000 rubles or in an amount equal to the offender's salary or other income for a period of up to one year, or compulsory work for a term of up to 360 hours, or corrective labor for a term of up to one year, or restriction of freedom for a term of up to two years, or forced labor for a term of up to two years, or arrest for a term of up to four months (ceased to be in force as of April 12, 2019)1.
