Unjust verdict
An unjust verdict is a verdict imposing a punishment that does not correspond to the gravity of the crime, the personality of the convicted person, or a punishment that although does not exceed the limits set by the relevant article of the Special Part of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, is nevertheless unjust in terms of its nature or extent, either due to excessive leniency or excessive severity1.
