The cost of shares (interests in the charter capital) of an economically significant organization


The cost of shares (interests in the charter capital) of an economically significant organization is deemed, for the purposes of this chapter, to be equal to the product of the value of shares (interests in the charter capital) of a foreign holding company and securities issued by a foreign issuer evidencing rights to shares of the aforementioned foreign holding company, as specified in Article 3 of the aforementioned Federal law, owned by this taxpayer, and the proportion of the book value of shares (interests in the charter capital) of the economically significant organization belonging to the aforementioned foreign holding company in the book value of its assets, if otherwise not provided for in this paragraph, according to the financial statements as of the latest reporting date preceding March 1, 20221.
