Financial asset
Financial asset — cash, securities, derivative financial instruments, shares in the charter (contributed) capital of a legal entity or participation interests in a foreign structure without forming a legal entity, claims arising from an insurance contract, as well as other assets that are subject to a contract between a client and a financial market organization providing financial services. For the purposes of this chapter, real estate, precious metals (except for precious metals held on accounts, deposits or accepted for storage with dematerialization), as well as valuables stored in an individual bank safe1 are not considered financial assets.
