Repo Agreement


1. A repurchase agreement (repo) is a contract under which one party (the seller in the repo agreement) undertakes to transfer securities into the ownership of the other party (the buyer in the repo agreement) within the time frame established by this agreement, and the buyer in the repo agreement undertakes to accept the securities and pay a specified monetary amount for them (first part of the repo agreement), and under which the buyer in the repo agreement undertakes to transfer the securities into the ownership of the seller in the repo agreement within the time frame established by this agreement, and the seller in the repo agreement undertakes to accept the securities and pay a specified monetary amount for them (second part of the repo agreement)
