Russian wine products with protected geographical indication - wine products, except for grape-containing beverages, which are produced by members of the Federal Self-regulating Organization of Viticulturists and Winemakers of Russia from fresh grapes of a variety or mixture of varieties of the species Vitis Vinifera, varieties obtained by crossing varieties of the species Vitis Vinifera with varieties of other species of the genus Vitis, excluding hybrids of direct producers, grown by members of the Federal Self-regulating Organization of Viticulturists and Winemakers of Russia within a defined viticultural and winemaking zone and (or) viticultural and winemaking region of the Russian Federation, as well as from products of its processing carried out by members of the Federal Self-regulating Organization of Viticulturists and Winemakers of Russia, using permitted viticultural and winemaking techniques, during the production of which primary and secondary winemaking operations are carried out within the boundaries of these viticultural and winemaking zones and (or) viticultural and winemaking regions1.
