Patriotic Education of Youth
Patriotic education of youth — systematic and purposeful activities carried out by public authorities and other subjects engaged in youth policy, aimed at forming among young citizens love and respect for the Fatherland, loyalty to it, and a sense of personal responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland before present and future generations, readiness to perform civic duties and constitutional obligations to defend the Fatherland, as well as protecting historical truth and preserving historical memory, forming and strengthening among young citizens the all-Russian civic identity (including on the basis of regional characteristics and national traditions of the corresponding territory), respect for the history of the Fatherland and pride in the achievements of the Fatherland and its citizens, and developing socially significant constructive activities among youth1.
