Military Emergency Rescue Units (MERSUs)
2. Military mine rescue units (hereinafter - MMRU), ensuring the implementation of emergency and urgent measures in organizations engaged in coal (shale) mining (processing) for saving people, fire extinguishing, elimination of consequences of explosions, sudden outbursts of coal and gas, rockfalls, are specialized structures combining employees with a special status determined by the duties imposed on them to participate in work on the elimination of underground accidents and the associated threat to their lives and health.
MMRU units are always ready for action, located at a distance of operational accessibility from the organizations they serve, and equipped with all necessary means for rescue operations1
