Assignment of a radio frequency or radio frequency channel — is the permission in the form of an entry in the Unified Register of Frequency Assignments for civil radio electronic means, or in written form for radio electronic means used for the needs of state authorities, national defense, state security, and law enforcement, to use specific radio frequencies or radio frequency channels with indication of a specific radio electronic means, objectives, and conditions of such usage of the radio electronic means and radio frequency¹.
