Amount of security for the payment of customs duties – definition and meaning of "Amount of security for the payment of customs duties"

The amount of security for the payment of customs duties and taxes is the sum of customs duties and taxes that may be additionally charged as a result of checking information affecting the amount of customs duties and taxes payable, taking into account the requirements established by paragraphs 1 and 2 of this article¹.
