A payment application is software provided by a payment application provider on a technical device connected to the information and telecommunications network "Internet" (including a mobile phone, smartphone, tablet computer), allowing a client of a money transfer operator to issue and transmit instructions for carrying out money transfers using an electronic means of payment1.
