Locust (carob tree)
Carob (or carob tree) (Ceratonia siliqua) is a small evergreen woody plant growing in the Mediterranean region. Carob fruits, also known as imperial pods, Byzantine pods, or sweet pods, are brown beans containing numerous seeds and are primarily used as a material for distillation or as animal feed.
Carob fruits are rich in sugar and sometimes used as sweets
