Extortion


1. Extortion, that is, demanding the transfer of someone else's property or rights to property or performing other actions of an economic nature under threat of applying violence or destroying or damaging someone else's property, as well as under threat of disseminating information humiliating the victim or their relatives, or other information that may cause significant harm to the rights or legitimate interests of the victim or their relatives -

is punishable by restriction of freedom for a term up to four years, or compulsory labor for a term up to four years with restriction of freedom for a term up to two years or without such restriction, or arrest for a term up to six months, or deprivation of liberty for a term up to four years with a fine in the amount up to eighty thousand rubles or in the amount of the convicted person's salary or other income for a period up to six months or without such a fine.

2. Extortion committed:

a) by a group of persons acting in concert;

b) repealed. - Federal Law of December 8, 2003, No. 162-FZ;

c) by means of violence;

d) in a large amount, -

is punished by deprivation of liberty for a term up to seven years with a fine in the amount up to five hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of the convicted person's salary or other income for a period up to three years, or without such a fine, and with restriction of freedom for a term up to two years, or without such a restriction.

3. Extortion committed:

a) by an organized group;

b) for the purpose of obtaining property in an especially large amount;

b) causing serious harm to the health of the victim,

is punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years with a fine of up to one million rubles or in the amount of the convicted person's wages or other income for a period of up to five years, or without such a fine, and with restriction of freedom for a term of up to two years, or without such a restriction
