Material commutability
Commutability of a material: the ability of a material to give identical numerical relationships between measurement results obtained using a given set of measurement procedures when measuring the same quantity, analogous to the relationships between mathematical expectations of dependencies obtained if the same procedures are applied to other materials of the corresponding type

Commutability of a material: the closeness of correspondence between the mathematical relationship of measurement results obtained by two methods of measurement for a specified quantity in a given material, and the mathematical relationship of measurement results obtained by the same two methods of measurement for the quantity in routine samples
