Mountain forests


130. In the course of forest inventory, they are classified as mountain or plain forests. Mountain forests include all forests located within mountain systems and individual mountain massifs with variations in relative terrain heights exceeding 100 meters and an average slope from the base to the peaks of mountain ranges or to the boundaries of non-forested areas greater than 5 degrees (regardless of the fact that individual parts of the slopes may have a gradient less than 5 degrees), as well as on mountain plateaus and highlands regardless of the slope of the terrain
