Assistant investigator - an official serving in internal affairs bodies in the position of junior supervisory staff within a preliminary investigation body, holding a special rank.
2. A citizen of the Russian Federation who has reached 18 years of age, possesses education not lower than general secondary, and is physically and morally fit to serve in internal affairs bodies may be appointed to the position of assistant investigator.
