Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration
1. The Government Commission for Economic Development and Integration (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) is a standing body responsible for coordinating the activities of executive authorities and interacting with representatives of scientific and public organizations (hereinafter referred to as organizations), as well as the business community, in the development and implementation of measures aimed at:
1) ensuring sustainable economic development and individual sectors of the financial and real economy;
2) protecting the domestic market, including through the application of customs-tariff and non-tariff regulation instruments, as well as taking countermeasures in foreign trade activities against discriminatory actions by other states;
3) ensuring economic integration and carrying out mutually beneficial cooperation of the Russian Federation with member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and other integration organizations established within the CIS, as well as with the European Union, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference;
4) ensuring full membership of the Russian Federation in the World Trade Organization and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development;
5) implementing state policy in the field of technical regulation, application of sanitary, veterinary-sanitary, and phytosanitary measures, as well as in the area of protection of intellectual property rights
