Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation
1. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in a foreign state (hereinafter referred to as the Ambassador) is the highest official representative of the Russian Federation accredited in the host country.
The Ambassador represents the Russian Federation in the host country, ensures the conduct of the Russian Federation's foreign policy course through diplomatic means, protects the national interests, sovereignty, security, territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, as well as the rights and interests of its citizens and Russian legal entities in the host country.
