Natural focus of tick-borne encephalitis

A natural focus of tick-borne encephalitis represents a population of the pathogen occupying a specific territory, along with all supporting populations of arthropods - vectors and warm-blooded animals - virus carriers. These populations form a three-member parasitic system (pathogen - vector - carrier). The main links of this system are the KEE virus, two species of ticks of the genus ... and several species of small mammals. In addition, in some areas, ticks of the genus r participate in the circulation of the virus
