Barotrauma of the Lungs


Pulmonary barotrauma is understood as a complex of pathological phenomena arising due to the rupture or overstretching of lung tissue caused by a sudden increase or decrease in intrapulmonary pressure. In this case, a diver may experience pleuropulmonary shock and air penetration into the bloodstream, followed by embolization of vessels of vital organs
