Interparliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Union
The Interparliamentary Assembly is an organ of parliamentary cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), dealing with issues of harmonization (convergence, unification) of the national legislation of Contracting Parties and bringing it into line with agreements concluded within the EAEU in order to achieve the objectives of the Community.
The Interparliamentary Assembly is composed of parliamentarians delegated by the parliaments of the Contracting Parties.
Within its authority, the Interparliamentary Assembly:
develops the Foundations of legislation in basic areas of legal relations to be considered by the Intergovernmental Council;
adopts standard projects on the basis of which acts of national legislation are developed;
may submit recommendations to the Intergovernmental Council, requests and recommendations to the Integration Committee and parliaments of Contracting Parties, as well as requests to the Community Court.
The Rules of Procedure of the Interparliamentary Assembly are approved by the Intergovernmental Council
