16) document replacing the passport of a citizen - a document certifying the identity of a citizen issued by an authorized state body. Within the territory of the Russian Federation, for citizens of the Russian Federation, such documents are:

military ID card, temporary certificate issued in place of a military ID card, or personal identification document (for persons who are undergoing military service);

temporary identity document of a citizen of the Russian Federation issued for the period of passport processing in accordance with the procedure approved by an authorized federal executive body;

document certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation, under which a citizen of the Russian Federation carries out entry into the Russian Federation in accordance with the federal law regulating the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entering the Russian Federation (for persons permanently residing outside the territory of the Russian Federation);

the paragraph has lost its force. - Federal Law of December 30, 2008 No. 322-FZ;

a standardized form certificate issued to citizens of the Russian Federation who are in places of detention of suspects and accused in accordance with the procedure approved by the authorized federal executive authority.

For foreign citizens referred to in paragraph 10 of article 4 of this Federal Law - a document confirming the right of a foreign citizen to permanent residence in the Russian Federation in accordance with the federal law regulating the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.

Outside the territory of the Russian Federation, documents replacing the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation are documents certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation by which citizens of the Russian Federation effect entry into the Russian Federation, as well as other documents by which citizens of the Russian Federation are entitled to be present on the territory of a foreign state in accordance with an international treaty of the Russian Federation;
