Thermomechanical forming of tubes


Thermomechanical forming: a process of shaping pipes in the hot state, during which the final deformation is carried out within a specific temperature range, allowing for obtaining material with certain properties that cannot be achieved or reproduced by heat treatment alone; after such deformation, cooling is performed, sometimes at a higher rate, followed by tempering or without tempering, including self-tempering
