Calcium
It is obtained by aluminothermic reduction of calcium oxide or by electrolysis of molten calcium chloride. Calcium is a white metal (specific gravity 1.57), used in argon purification, copper and steel refining, zirconium production, calcium hydride (hydrolytic), anti-friction alloys, etc.
