Mine Fires (Underground)
underground fires - fires occurring directly in mining workings (worked space) and in the orebody. According to causes of occurrence, they are divided into:
endogenous - occurring due to coal spontaneous combustion as a result of oxidation processes taking place within it;
exogenous - occurring from external thermal impulses (from faulty electrical equipment, friction);

Underground fires - fires occurring directly in mining workings (underground and open-pit) and in the orebody. PR also include fires in surface buildings, in ore storage facilities, etc., which may spread to workings or contaminate them with gaseous combustion products
