First Acquirer of the Bill
The first acquirer is a term that includes the name of the person to whom or whose order payment should be made. Otherwise, this person, as well as subsequent acquirers, is called "bearer" (in a simple bill) and "remitter" (in a sight bill). It is very important to correctly and fully specify the names of the bearers and remitters. When making an endorsement (transfer notation), specifying persons who are not identical to those previously mentioned in the bill may affect the further negotiability of the bill. Legislation does not allow issuing a bill to bearer, which is undoubtedly correct, since bills are based on real monetary transactions with clearly defined individuals.
