Lands of Especially Protected Natural Territories
1. Lands of specially protected natural territories include lands of state nature reserves, including biosphere reserves, state natural sanctuaries, natural monuments, national parks, nature parks, dendrological parks, botanical gardens, territories of traditional natural resource use by indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, as well as lands of health resorts and curative areas.
2. Lands of specially protected natural territories are considered to be objects of national heritage and may be owned by the federal government, the governments of the subjects of the Russian Federation, or municipal authorities. In cases provided for by federal laws, it is permissible to include land plots belonging to citizens and legal entities in the lands of specially protected natural territories on the right of ownership.
