1. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Health of Russia) is a federal executive body responsible for developing and implementing state policy and normative legal regulation in the field of healthcare, compulsory medical insurance, pharmaceuticals for medical use, including issues related to disease prevention, including infectious diseases and AIDS, medical care, medical rehabilitation and medical examinations (excluding medical-social expertise and military-medical expertise), pharmaceutical activities, including ensuring the quality, efficacy and safety of medicinal products for medical use, handling of medical devices, sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population, medical-sanitary support for workers in certain sectors of the economy with particularly hazardous working conditions, medical-biological assessment of the impact on the human body of especially dangerous factors of physical and chemical nature, resort cases, as well as in the management of state property and the provision of state services in the field of healthcare, including the delivery of medical care, implementation of modern medical technologies, new methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, conducting forensic medical and psychiatric examinations, organizing secondary, higher, postgraduate and additional medical and pharmaceutical education, and providing services in the field of spa affairs
