Vandalism


1. Vandalism, that is, defacing buildings or other structures, damaging property on public transport or in other public places, -

is punishable by a fine of up to forty thousand rubles or an amount equivalent to the offender's salary or other income for a period of up to three months, or compulsory work for a term of up to three hundred and sixty hours, or corrective labor for a term of up to one year, or arrest for a term of up to three months.

2. The same acts committed by a group of persons, or motivated by political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or hostility, or by hatred or hostility towards any particular social group, -

are punishable by restriction of freedom for a term of up to three years, or compulsory labor for a term of up to three years, or deprivation of liberty for the same period
