Polyvinyl chloride

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a rigid, colorless material with limited heat resistance, which tends to adhere to metal surfaces when heated. For these and other reasons, it is often necessary to add stabilizers, plasticizers, solvents, fillers, etc., in order to give the polymers the required properties. In the form of flexible sheets, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is widely used as a water-resistant material for curtains, aprons, raincoats, etc., and as high-quality artificial leather for covering and decorating the interiors of all types of passenger transport. Rigid PVC sheets are used in the manufacture of casings, pipelines, linings of tanks, and many other pieces of equipment for chemical plants. PVC floor tiles are also very common.
