Doctor of Sciences


Doctor of Sciences - an academic degree awarded by a state accreditation body upon the recommendation of a dissertation council, following the public defense of a dissertation by a candidate who holds the academic degree of Candidate of Sciences. The Doctor of Sciences degree is conferred for the development of fundamental research and for solving major and primary theoretical and applied problems in the fields of natural sciences, humanities, and engineering, as well as for scientifically substantiating technical, economic, and technological solutions whose implementation will make a significant contribution to accelerating societal scientific and technological progress.
