Aircraft carriers
Aircraft carriers are surface naval vessels that, regardless of their displacement, are intended or designed primarily for the carriage and deployment at sea of aircraft. If a naval vessel was not intended or designed primarily for the carriage and deployment at sea of aircraft, then the provision on this vessel of a deck for the launching or landing of aircraft will not result in its (the vessel's) inclusion in the category of aircraft carriers.
The category of aircraft carriers is divided into two subcategories, namely:
a) vessels having a deck that provides aircraft with the possibility to take off from or land on it;
b) ships without decks described above in point "a"
