Initiating explosive substances


initiating explosive - highly sensitive explosive substance, easily detonating from the simplest initial impulses (impact, friction, heating, spark discharge), intended for exciting detonation or igniting other explosives;

Initiating (primary) explosive substances (IES) - extremely sensitive explosives capable of exploding under minimal external influence, for example from flame (thermal impulse), friction, slight impact. Combustion of IES easily transitions into detonation even in small (fractions of a gram) charges. Used in blasting agents to excite detonation of high-explosive substances. The main type of explosive transformation of IES - detonation
