Biotin


Biotin participates in the synthesis of fats, glycogen, and amino acid metabolism. Insufficient intake of this vitamin may lead to disruption of normal skin condition. The average consumption in different countries is 20 - 53 mcg per day. Established levels of requirement in various countries range from 15 - 100 mcg per day. The upper acceptable level of intake has not been established.

Physiological requirement for adults - 50 mcg per day (introduced for the first time).

Physiological requirement for children - from 10 to 50 mcg per day (introduced for the first time)
