Working Machines and Equipment
Work machines and equipment include: machines, tools, apparatuses, and other types of equipment intended for mechanical, thermal, and chemical treatment of the object of labor (the processed item), which may be in a solid, liquid, or gaseous state, with the aim of changing its shape, properties, condition, or position. Thus, work machines and equipment include all types of technological equipment, including automatic machines and equipment for the production of industrial products, agricultural, transport, construction, trading, warehouse, water supply and sewage, sanitary-hygienic, and other types of machines and equipment, except for energy and information-related ones.

Working machines and equipment directly affect the object of labor or participate in the technological process of product manufacturing. These are tools of labor, with which a person directly extracts natural benefits or transforms them into products necessary for society.
These include machines, tools, apparatuses, and other types of equipment intended to act on the object of labor (the workpiece), which may be in a solid, liquid, or gaseous state, with the aim of changing its shape, properties, condition, or position.
Depending on the method of equipment's impact on the object of labor, they are divided into:
mechanical equipment, which acts on the object of labor through mechanical operations;
thermal equipment, which acts on the object of labor by creating a certain temperature regime;
chemical equipment, which acts on the object of labor through chemical reactions
