Biophysical scale

A biophysical scale is a measurement scale of properties of a physical factor (stimulus), modified in such a way that based on the results of measuring these properties it is possible to predict the level or character of the biological object's reaction to this factor. Such scales are constructed according to models which modify (transform) the results of measuring the stimulus property, ensuring an unambiguous correspondence between the measurement result and the characteristic of the biological response (homomorphic mapping of the set of stimuli onto the set of responses). In this case, a certain subclass of the stimulus set may correspond to equivalent reactions
