Hypoxia
Hypoxia is understood as a pathological condition of the body occurring due to low oxygen tension in the cells and tissues of the body or the inability of tissues to consume oxygen. Hypoxia can be distinguished as a nosological form and as a pathogenetic consequence of many diseases, in which hypoxia occurs secondarily in individual organs or parts of the body (local hypoxia) or throughout the entire body (general hypoxia). In diving practice, the cause of hypoxia among divers is reduced partial pressure of oxygen in the inhaled gas mixture (hypoxic hypoxia), and very rarely - hemihypoxia as a result of hemoglobin inactivation by carbon monoxide
