Oxygen

This is a gas supporting combustion, mainly obtained by fractional distillation of liquid air.

It is stored under pressure in steel cylinders or sometimes as a liquid - in vessels with double walls.

Compressed oxygen is used in oxy-hydrogen and oxy-acetylene soldering lamps for welding (oxyacetylene welding) or for cutting metals such as iron. It is also used in the metallurgy of ferrous metals and in medicine (inhalations).
