Floating dock
Floating docks are a specific type of floating workshops used instead of dry docks.
They are generally constructed as U-shaped structures consisting of a bottom and side walls, and are equipped with pump compartments that allow the docks to be partially filled with water, enabling vessels requiring repairs to enter them. In some cases, docks can be towed.
Another type of floating dock operates in a similar manner; however, this self-propelled dock, which is equipped with powerful engines, is used for the repair or transportation of amphibious vehicles or other ships.
