235. Goods are recorded at net weight upon receipt from suppliers. When receiving certain goods, net weight (netto) is determined by subtracting the tare weight indicated on the marking from the total weight of the goods (brutto). After emptying the packaging, the tare is weighed; if the actual tare weight exceeds the tare weight specified in the marking, a discrepancy arises in the weight of the goods, which is referred to as tare overstatement. Tare overstatement may occur due to absorption of goods into the tare or for other reasons.
