Superstructure of the railway track
The upper structure of the track - a part of the railway track construction intended for directing the movement of rolling stock, bearing the pressure from the wheels of the rolling stock and transferring it to the subgrade; consists of a ballast layer, sleepers, rails, fastenings, anti-derailing devices, switches with crossing sleepers and dead crossings
