Batch Cementation
4. Packet cementation - a modification of the method of applying a coating to a surface or a process of applying a purely external coating when the item is immersed in a powder mixture consisting of several components (in a packet), which consists of:
a) metallic powders that are part of the coating (usually aluminum, chromium, silicon or their combinations);
b) an activator (most often a halide salt); and
c) inert powder, most commonly alumina (aluminum oxide)
