Aluminum
Aluminum is a bluish-white metal distinguished by its exceptional lightness. It is very malleable and easily subjected to rolling, drawing, forging, stamping, casting, etc. Like other soft metals, aluminum is also very well suited for extrusion and pressure casting. In modern practice, it can be soldered. Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity and a very good reflector. Since the oxide film naturally formed on its surface protects the metal, it is often artificially created with greater thickness through anodizing or chemical treatment; during these processes, the surface is sometimes colored.
